Lou Vaccarelli was the Chief Procurement Officer and Vice President, Manufacturing & Production, of BMG Entertainment, the $4.7 billion music and entertainment division of Bertelsmann AG. At BMG, Lou was responsible for supply chain management, inventory management, production and all strategic sourcing which includes compact disc, music cassette and DVD video and audio manufacturing. He oversaw BMG's Cost Improvement Initiative, which resulted in savings totaling $100 million over a four year period in North America alone. He is the Chairman-Elect of the International Recording Media Association (IRMA), where he holds seats on the Executive Board and Board of Directors, and a member of the Board of Trustees and Directors of the Center for Advanced Purchasing Studies at Arizona State University. |
