Internet pioneer Lou Montulli is Vice President of Engineering. He joined Shutterfly through the acquisition of Memory Matrix Inc., the company he co-founded to develop advanced technologies in digital imaging. At Shutterfly, Lou focuses on developing cutting-edge product and service innovations.
A software engineer with more than 15 years of industry experience, Lou was a founding engineer at Netscape and had a strong role in developing the core technologies of the Web, including HTTP, HTML, SSL and CSS. Prior to Netscape, Lou developed one of the very first Web browsers named Lynx. Following Netscape, Lou was a founding engineer at Epinions.com (now Shopping.com).
