Lou Dietz joined CellPoint with 18 years of experience developing successful products for the medical diagnostic and bioanalytical research markets. Prior to CellPoint, Mr. Dietz provided independent consulting and contract engineering services for product development in the diagnostics, drug discovery, and medical imaging markets. Previously, he was Director of Engineering for SurroMed and its spin-off Nanoplex Technologies where he developed novel techniques for bar-coded nanoparticle synthesis and led development efforts for high-speed optical decoding and fluorescence detection instrumentation. Mr. Dietz has successfully co-authored a number of federal grants, receiving a total of $13 million in awards. As an inventor Mr. Dietz has 13 patents in nanotechnology and optical instrumentation, and he is a member of member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and International Society for Optical Engineering. Mr. Dietz received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University. |
