Lori Holland has her own independent consulting practice supporting new start-up technology companies in Silicon Valley. She has extensive experience raising capital, establishing international operations, completing mergers and acquisitions and developing joint ventures. She has been responsible for financial, tax, treasury, human resources, information systems and legal functions.
As a Financial Executive in Silicon Valley for over 26 years, Lori served in the Chief Financial Officer role for several venture-funded, fast-growing technology companies. She was Chief Financial Officer for Read-Rite, a manufacturer of components to the Disc Drive Industry. She led their Initial Public Offering and completed a secondary offering just six months later, completing an additional $100 Million private placement to bring the total investment in Read-Rite to over $300 Million. She executed five acquisitions, each with international operations.
Lori was also the Chief Financial Officer for Zaffire, Inc., a venture-backed optical system supplier to the Telecom market, raising $96 Million in pre-public financing. She was Chief Financial Officer for NeoMagic, a start-up in the graphic semiconductor market, and prepared them for their Initial Public Offering.
Lori previously held senior financial posts at other Silicon Valley based technology start-ups including NeXT Computer and Seagate Technology. She began her financial career as an auditor with Ernst and Young in Los Angeles and San Jose, CA. She was interim Chief Financial Officer for Bookham Technology, a UK based optical components supplier to the Telecom Industry and has served on the Bookham Board of Directors since 1999 as a Non-Executive Director and the Chairman of the Audit Committee. She served on the Board of WiderThan, a VC funded, Korean Company providing content solutions to the cell phone industry from 2005 until it was sold to RealNetworks in October, 2006.
Lori also served as a Director on the Board of the Valley Medical Center in Silicon Valley and served a five year term as a member of the Advisory Counsel for the California Polytechnic State University College of Business, from which she holds a B.S. in Economics. |
