Lori McLeod, PhD, is head of psychometrics and health outcomes strategy at RTI Health Solutions. She has over 10 years of experience in instrument development and has conducted many psychometric evaluations of both paper-and-pencil and computer-administered instruments. These investigations have included the assessment of scale reliability, validity, and responsiveness. Dr. McLeod previously directed the psychometric procedures related to a large-scale admissions test and contributed to research in computerized adaptive testing such as item response theory. She has published numerous manuscripts in Applied Psychological Measurement, Pharmacoeconomics, Journal of Educational Measurement, and Psychometrika. She also serves as the treasurer of the Psychometric Society. Recently, she has concentrated on developing health outcomes strategies as well as the psychometric evaluation of questionnaires designed to measure health-related quality of life. Dr. McLeod has experience in a wide variety of therapeutic areas including chronic pain, dermatology, oncology, psychiatry, respiratory, sleep disorders, urology, and sexual dysfunction. |
