Lord Sharman of Redlynch has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 29 April 2003. As a specialist in financial and economic aspects of large investments, he is of great value to the Supervisory Board.
Lord Sharman began at KPMG in 1966. From 1977 until 1981 he was responsible for KPMG Northern Europe and Scandinavia. From 1987 till 1990 he was responsible for KPMG marketing in the United Kingdom. In 1990 he was appointed to Senior Partner KPMG London and South East United Kingdom. In 1991 he was appointed Chairman of KPMG Management Consulting worldwide, member of the KPMG International Executive Committee and the KPMG European Board. In 1994 he was made Senior Partner UK, followed by the appointment as Chairman of KPMG International until 1999. He retired from the partnership on 30 September 1999. On 27 October 1999, he was sworn into the House of Lords.
