Loral Blinde, senior vice president human resources and administration, oversees the airline’s employee relations, recruiting, compensation and benefits, payroll, leadership development, total quality, safety and insurance. He also oversees properties and facilities. He joined AirTran Airways in June 1999.
Blinde previously served as vice president of human resources for CUNA Mutual Group. Prior to CUNA, he held several positions at Northwest Airlines, Inc., including director, education & safety; director, education & labor relations; and director, human resources.
Additionally, he has experience as regional manager of human resources at Frito-Lay and director of human resources, manufacturing services and legal counsel at Sinclair & Valentine, L.P. Blinde began his career with the State of Iowa as assistant director of employee relations.
Blinde, a native of Iowa, earned a bachelor of arts in political science, a jurist doctorate and a master of arts in industrial relations and human resources from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. He is a member of the Central Florida Junior Achievement Board of Directors. |
