Mr. Hatamiya's record of accomplishment encompasses the public and private sector. He presently serves as a director of LECG a global expert services firm that provides independent expert testimony and strategic advisory services to Fortune Global 500 corporations major law firms and local state and federal governments around the world. Prior to joining LECG he served as secretary of the California Technology Trade and Commerce Agency the state's primary promoter of economic development job creation and business retention efforts. He held this cabinet-level position from 1999 to 2003. From September 1993 to January 1999 Mr. Hatamiya was appointed by President Bill Clinton to serve as the Administrator of the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). While at FAS he led a worldwide agency that promotes the growth of exports of American agricultural fish and forest products. Mr. Hatamiya graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in Economics. In addition he earned his M.B.A. from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA and his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law. |
