Dr. Axelrod is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is also Chief of the James Howard Means Firm at the Massachusetts General Hospital (a subdivision of the Medical Services with the mission of teaching and counseling medical students, residents and other trainees) and a member of the Diabetes Unit at that hospital. For many years Lloyd conducted laboratory and clinical investigations in the area of diabetes, adipose tissue and prostaglandins, and also in other fields of endocrinology and metabolism. Lloyd is the author of 50 articles and nearly 20 book chapters. He received his A. B. degree from Princeton University, his M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School and his clinical training at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and the Massachusetts General Hospital. |
