Mr. Semple has been a director of the Company since 2003. On June 30, 2004, he retired as a member of Dykema Gossett PLLC, a Detroit based law firm consisting of 410 lawyers. Mr. Semple served as the firm's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1995 to 2002, and previously he served on the firm's executive committee and as the leader of the Corporate and Finance Practice Group. Mr. Semple had been with Dykema Gossett since 1964. As of July 1, 2004, Mr. Semple accepted an appointment as professor of law at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where he is teaching courses on corporate governance and director responsibilities. Mr. Semple has served on boards of directors of several public and privately held companies, and from 1997 to 2002, served as the Chairman of the Board of the Detroit Medical Center Corporation, a seven hospital integrated health delivery system located in southeast Michigan. |
