Lizanne (Liz) C. Gottung is Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Kimberly-Clark Corporation.
Ms. Gottung has held positions of increasing responsibility in operations and human resources since joining the company in 1981 as an Employee Relations Counselor. During her first 10 years at Kimberly-Clark she held positions in Labor Relations Recruiting Training and Safety in a number of Kimberly-Clark offices and manufacturing facilities.
Ms. Gottung has an extensive background in manufacturing having been a Team Leader for tissue manufacturing at K-C’s Lakeview mill in Neenah Wis. Shortly thereafter she moved to the Badger-Globe facility in Neenah as Operations Manager. In 1993 Ms. Gottung was named Feminine Care Plant Manager in New Milford Conn. followed by a move to Infant Care Plant Manager also at New Milford.
In 1997 Ms. Gottung was named Manager of the company’s Nonwovens mill in Corinth Miss. where she was responsible for a significant machine rebuild to support the production of a new breathable outer cover for Huggies diapers. During this time the Corinth mill was recognized by the governor of Mississippi for exceeding environmental standards and for an exceptional training and development program.
In 2001 Ms. Gottung was named Vice President of Human Resources and moved to Roswell Ga. Among her most recent achievements she championed the creation of a Global Human Resources Strategy to make the HR function more of a competitive advantage for Kimberly-Clark.
Ms. Gottung was appointed to her current position in 2002. She and her husband Mark have three children and live in Roswell. |
