Liza works at the White House as the Assistant to the President and Director of Presidential Personnel. She leads a team that recommends individuals to President Bush to fill 4,500 presidential appointments, including Cabinet Secretaries, Ambassadors and other key positions in Cabinet-level departments and U.S. regulatory agencies. Liza joined the White House in March 2003 as a Special Assistant to the President in Presidential Personnel. Before joining the White House staff, Liza spent eight years with the international executive search firm, Heidrick & Struggles as a Senior Associate and Principal. Prior to that, she was an executive recruiter for Capital One Financial Corporation. Liza holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from James Madison University. She and her husband and their two daughters reside in Great Falls, Va. Liza was appointed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s National Board in January 2006. |
