Ms. Nelson is a Managing Director of Investor Growth Capital, Inc. ("IGC") a New York-based venture firm focused on investments in private and public companies in healthcare and information technology. IGC is the wholly-owned venture capital arm of Investor AB, a holding company traded publicly on the Stockholm Exchange with net asset value in excess of $23 billion. Ms. Nelson is Co-Head of IGC's Healthcare investing activities, which are focused on medical devices and specialty, small molecule and biologic pharmaceuticals. Prior to her nine years with IGC, Ms. Nelson spent 10 years with Pfizer Inc., where she held a series of positions with increasing responsibility in corporate finance/M&A, strategy, business development, marketing and operating management. She co-founded and served as senior operating head for Pfizer's healthcare services subsidiary, Pfizer Health Solutions. Prior to Pfizer, Ms. Nelson was with the New York offices of the Boston Consulting Group (strategy consulting) and E.M. Warburg, Pincus & Co. (venture capital), where in both cases she concentrated on healthcare. Liza received an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the Yale School of Management and a B.A. in Economics from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. She currently serves as a board member of Epigenesis Pharmaceuticals, and Solstice Neurosciences. |
