Lisa's area of expertise is in health insurance and managed care consulting. She actively works with health plans, including employers, HMOs, PPOs, self-insured employers, PHOs, hospitals, and other provider-sponsored healthcare organizations in addressing their actuarial, administrative, and risk needs.Lisa has considerable experience in the design, pricing, and forecasting of health insurance plans. Her product knowledge encompasses both indemnity and managed care plans for both commercial and government programs. Lisa assists clients with financial projections, advisement of capital needs, strategic planning, and acquisitions. Her ongoing work includes the development of rating and underwriting procedures, new product pricing, and evaluation of experience and profitability. Lisa also assists clients with state insurance department filings, applications required for participation in public programs, and various product compliance issues. She has participated in provider negotiations and contracting issues for both health plans and providers.Lisa's tenure with Milliman includes 18 months in Europe working on private and national health insurance programs.Lisa served on the Society of Actuaries' Education and Examination Committee. |
