Lisa was born in Minneapolis, MN and saw quite a bit of Minnesota while moving around during her childhood. She earned her Bachelor degree in nursing at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. She worked as a registered nurse at the Douglas County Hospital before returning to graduate at the University of Minnesota when she received her Master's degree and family nurse practitioner training. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and also maintains memberships in the Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society, Rural Nursing Organization, and American Nurses Association. Her practice emphasizes health promotion and patient education in women's health, gynecology, infertility and adolescent care in addition to general family practice. She enjoys playing sports, being outdoors, and spending time with family. Lisa and her husband reside in Alexandria with their son. |
