Lisa S. Rothblum is a Managing Director and a member of the In-House Practice Group in Major, Lindsey & Africa's New York Office. Lisa enjoyed a successful career as General Counsel at two high-profile and fast-paced corporations where she built and managed full-service, first-class in-house legal departments. Her hands-on experience, coupled with her astute insight and people skills, renders her uniquely qualified to understand the inner workings and needs of her corporate clients and to thoughtfully identify the right candidate for the job. Being in the first chair of major legal departments has also given her perspective and a network of high level influencers, decision-makers, and talent.
Lisa served as Senior Vice President, Legal & Business Affairs, and General Counsel at Atari, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company, for four years, and then as the company's Executive Vice President, Administration & Operations. Before joining Atari, Lisa worked at PolyGram Records for 17 years - the last 10 as Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs & General Counsel of PolyGram Holding, Inc. (now known as Universal Music Group).
Before going in-house, Lisa was a litigation associate in private practice and a staff attorney with the Securities & Exchange Commission's Branch of Enforcement.
Lisa's background and skills help her to be versatile and fluent in all practice areas and arenas. She relates well not only to her clients, but to candidates as well, who trust her counsel and enthusiasm.
Lisa is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law and holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from The George Washington University. The balance of a successful legal career and an exceptional understanding of behavior gives Lisa a perspective ideally suited to finding and placing top talent in today's dynamic corporate environments.
A resident of Manhattan, Lisa has two teenaged daughters. She loves all outdoor sports, especially skiing, biking and hiking, travels extensively, and enjoys all sorts of project management, from event planning to renovation and interior design. |
