Professional Experience
Prior to joining Huron Lisa was a Principal/Partner at Parente Randolph LLC where she led the firm's national healthcare fraud and compliance and research practice and supervised a team of professionals who performed a variety of healthcare consulting services.
Previously Lisa was the Vice President of Audit Compliance and Chief Privacy Officer at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where her responsibilities included developing and implementing the Internal Audit Department and a Compliance Program. Her specific duties included implementation of the regulations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training and education with all 1 200 physicians on documentation and coding principles and compliance training with all other employees and members of the Medical Staff related to compliance topics pertinent to each department. In addition Lisa was responsible for implementing a hotline and monitoring systems to identify and mitigate risks and assist management with corrective action. She worked with Senior Management and the Board of Directors to develop and implement an Internal Audit Plan and a Compliance Plan on an annual basis. She was also responsible for the revenue cycle team and in turn conducted revenue cycle audits of numerous departments throughout the organization. Her focus was the identification and mitigation of risk and proactive process improvement including extensive training.
