Mr. Tan has been active in the U.S. venture capital industry since 1982. He introduced and pioneered the U.S. venture capital investment concept in Asia and has continued his involvement in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Tan has successfully built Walden International into an international venture capital firm with a strong local presence in both the U.S. and Asia. Lip-Bu currently serves on the Boards of Cadence Design Systems, Inc., Creative Technology Ltd, Flextronics International, MindTree Consulting, and Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation. Mr. Tan holds a master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of San Francisco. He received his bachelor's degree from Nanyang University, Singapore. |
