Ms. Lucy Kong is responsible for network operations for China Telecom Americas. Ms. Kong had worked in the telecom industry for more than 20 years. She started her career as a software engineer in the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of China. From 1994 to 1997, she worked at the Directorate General for Telecommunications (DGT) in the field of No.7 signaling network and TMN, where was responsible for network project control and maintenance management. For more than three years, Ms. Kong was the Deputy Director of the Network Management Center in the headquarters of China Telecom before its split in 2000. Most recently, Ms. Kong had been the Chief Engineer of Network Operations and Maintenance Department at the headquarters of China Telecom, responsible for China Telecom's nationwide, multi-technology network operations and maintenance management. Ms. Kong obtained a Master's Degree of Engineering in Computer Applications from the Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications in 1987. She also received an EMBA from Beijing University in 2003. Her undergraduate study was Electronic Engineering. In addition to her responsibilities at China Telecom Americas, she is also the Vice Chairperson of Technical Committee 7 of the CCSA (China Communication Standards Association). |
