When Lindley Bynum Foss entered the world, her grandparents, Davis and Dorothy Bynum, were enjoying dinner at the acclaimed John Ash & Co. restaurant. A waiter approached their table with a bottle of champagne to toast the newborn. The bubbly was an appropriate choice even today, lovely Lindley has an effervescent personality, bright and cheerful to the core.
Lindley was born in Healdsburg, but spent a good deal of her childhood in Illinois and New Jersey. She returned to Wine Country just in time to finish her senior year at Ursuline High School in nearby Santa Rosa. Always a lover of horses, she became a certified equine body worker a horse masseuse!
While horses are her love, wine is in her blood. She joined the family winery full time, first as its executive marketing director, helping her Uncle Hampton manage distributor relationships and making sure Bynum wines reached as many tables as possible at home or in restaurants. Her keen skills eventually pushed her into a more expanded and challenging role as the winery’s retail sales manager. As such, Lindley manages the Davis Bynum Tasting Room and the winery’s two wine clubs Club Eno and Club Eno Pinot.
An avid reader, Lindley rides horses at every opportunity, enjoys gourmet cooking and fills available free time by keeping tabs on her mother. Our relationship is a little different than most parent/child interactions, explains Lindley. I ground her, instead of the other way around. |
