Linda has served in a variety of clinical roles, both within the device industry and for healthcare providers. She came to Intelect from Emerson Consultants, Inc., a highly respected clinical, regulatory, and reimbursement consultant group in the medical device industry, where she served as the VP Clinical Research. Prior to her consulting experience, she had worked in high-level positions directing clinical affairs for ev3 and for six years at Medtronic, where she managed a large clinical staff and the SCD-HeFT clinical trial, a landmark clinical study that demonstrated the value of ICD systems for patients with heart failure at risk of sudden cardiac death. Before joining Medtronic, she had led medical research for health care systems in the Twin Cities, including Health East, Minnesota Spine Center, and Group Health. Linda holds an MA and PhD in Communication Disorders and her early work experience included clinical research in human communication disorders and research in support of the design and development of cochlear implants and digital hearing aids. |
