Linda began her 28 year career as a rural educator being a high school mathematics teacher. She followed this with 17 years as a grants administrator including her current position as Project Manager for the Appalachian Rural Systemic Initiative, a six-state science and mathematics improvement initiative for distressed school districts. Dr. Griffin also has a rich background in distance learning which includes having managed Project Learn, Earn and Prosper that transmitted 12 hours live-interactive instruction each week and won the 1996 Best Programming Award from the United States Distance Learning Association. Dr. Griffin earned her undergraduate degrees in mathematics and education from the Mississippi University for Women and the Masters in Mathematics Education and the Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi. |
