Linda Berkeley is president of Enterprises and Executive Vice President of National Geographic. As president of Enterprises she is responsible for managing and extending National Geographic's merchandising businesses, which operate direct via catalogs, retail and online stores and through licensees.
As executive vice president of National Geographic, her responsibilities include the management of the National Geographic brand worldwide and the strategic coordination of cross-divisional efforts to advance the National Geographic mission through a range of products and services.
Prior to joining National Geographic, Berkeley served as chairman of the MCA Universal, Inc. Merchandising Group and as senior vice president of Business Development and Corporate Marketing. Having joined MCA Universal in 1990 as vice president of Business Development and Corporate Marketing, Berkeley served as chief executive officer of Universal Harvey Animation Studios from 1994 through 1996. Before joining MCA, Berkeley was corporate director of Strategic Research and Planning for The Walt Disney Company. She began her career with Young & Rubicam in 1984 as a research account executive and served as vice president of Research and Strategic Planning for Young & Rubicam from 1985 through 1988.
Berkeley holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in English and comparative literature from Columbia University. |
