Linda Y.H. Cheng is Vice President, Corporate Governance and Corporate Secretary for PG&E Corporation.
Cheng, 48, is responsible for managing the Corporate Secretary activities for both PG&E Corporation and its utility unit, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, one of the largest combination natural gas and electric utilities in the United States.
Cheng joined the company in 1989 as an attorney in the law department of Pacific Gas and Electric Company. In 1996, she became Assistant Corporate Secretary for the Corporation and Senior Assistant Corporate Secretary for Pacific Gas and Electric Company. She became Corporate Secretary for both companies in 2001, and was named Vice President in January 2005.
Prior to joining PG&E Corporation, Cheng was an attorney for the law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. She also worked as a research attorney at Harvard University.
Cheng is a graduate of Stanford University and Stanford Law School, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and her J.D., respectively. She is a member of the State Bar of California and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals. She also serves on the Board of Directors of WildCare. |
