Ed,University of Vermont :Career History:Ms. Schreiner, 47, is senior vice president of MeadWestvaco Corporation with responsibility for human resources and corporate communications.Ms. Schreiner joined Westvaco in 1999 as manager of strategic leadership development to work closely with the chief executive officer, members of the senior management team and the manager of corporate training and development, addressing the organizational development requirements for the successful implementation of Westvaco's strategic business plans. In 2000, she was named senior vice president and assumed additional responsibility for human resources. In 2004, she assumed responsibility for corporate communications.
Prior to joining Westvaco, Ms. Schreiner was a senior manager with Arthur D. Little, Inc. While there, she worked very closely with the leadership of Westvaco's Packaging Resources Group as it developed its organizational structure and business plans. Prior to Arthur D. Little, Inc., in 1998, she was vice president of Signet Banking Corporation, where she worked with the bank's senior executives on strategic and management development issues. Earlier experience included positions in higher education administration at Virginia Commonwealth University, the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and Clarkson University. |
