Linda joined the Packard Foundation in 1994. She is currently a program officer in the Children, Families, and Communities Program (CFC). In CFC, Linda is responsible for grantmaking in the children’s health insurance program, with the goal of bringing health insurance to all children in California. She is also responsible for local grantmaking for food banks and shelters serving families with children, and the Foundation’s holiday grants portfolio.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Linda worked for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in Princeton, New Jersey for three years in the research and evaluation department.
Linda holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Calvin College and a master’s degree in public health from Rutgers and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Linda has published several articles including, Child Indicators: Missing Children. The Future of Children Vol 8, No 2. Summer/Fall 1998. (with Gene Lewit) and Child Indicators: Class Size.
