Linda Schmidt is a member of the Litigation Practice Group in the Madison office. Linda graduated from Columbia University School of Law in New York, New York. At Columbia, Linda was a Stone scholar, member of the Parker School Journal of East European Law, and Lowenstein Public Interest Fellow. She also was a summer associate with the law school's Public Interest Law Initiative in Baku, Azerbaijan, where she worked with government officials and non-governmental organizations to address legal and other barriers to associational rights. Linda completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in German. She also earned an M.A. in German & European Studies at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. Prior to joining the firm, Linda worked for Swidler Berlin LLP in Washington, D.C., where her practice concentrated on government affairs.
