Linda D. Forte is senior vice president of Business Affairs for Comerica Incorporated. She also is a member of Comerica's Management Council.
Ms. Forte is responsible for defining and driving business strategies that establish Comerica as a leader in diversity and work life practices. She also is responsible for the Comerica Charitable Foundation, Comerica Contributions and Civic Affairs.
She began her banking career with Comerica in 1974. She has held management positions in Comerica's Small Business, U.S. Banking and Loan Administration Groups, as well as positions in Human Resources and in Branch Administration.
Ms. Forte serves as a director of the Economic Development Corporation of the City of Detroit; Neighborhood Development Corporation of the City of Detroit; City Year Detroit; and the Women's Caring Program. She is a board member and chair of the Local Development Finance Authority, board member and vice chair of the Detroit Youth Foundation, and chair-elect of the Michigan Women's Foundation.
In 2005, Ms. Forte received the YMCAâ??s John Copeland Community Leadership Legacy Award. In 1998, Ms. Forte was recognized by Crain's Detroit Business as one of Detroit's 100 Black Business Leaders. In 1996, she received the National Black MBA Association H. Naylor Fitzhugh Award; in 1990 she received the Banker of the Year Award and in 2005, the Aubrey W. Lee Award from the Urban Financial Services Coalition. Ms. Forte is a graduate of Leadership Detroit.
Ms. Forte received her Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University, and her MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan. |
