Lida Junghans joined Sage Search Partners in 2006 after nearly twenty years in higher education as a teacher, researcher, and a senior consultant at a national search firm. She graduated from the College of William and Mary and received her PhD from Harvard University. A cultural anthropologist by training, her search work grows out of a longstanding interest in the culture of institutions as well as the institutional management of cultural forms. She has conducted ethnographic research in diverse workplace settings such as the Chinese railway system and Boston's teaching hospitals. Lida has served as an instructor in the Social Studies Program and as a tutor in the Department of Anthropology and Asian Studies at Harvard. Early in her career, she worked as an interpreter in Colonial Williamsburg, a clerk in the Library of Congress, a tour guide at the United Nations, and a technician in a photofinishing plant and an archival restoration shop. |
