Lewis A. Smith brings 20 years of operations management experience to our firm to assist our clients in business and enhancing manufacturing operations to improve financial performance.
Mr. Smith provides services in lean manufacturing, process reengineeering, inventory management programs and physical inventories, ERP and other operational system implementations, just-in-time systems, supply chain management and synchronization, master production scheduling (MSP), quality assurance programs and QS/ISO certifications. He also takes part in shop floor financial analysis, business analysis and due diligence, cost analysis and cost cutting implementation.
Prior to joining our firm, Lew was the Operations Manager of a $50 million Tier 1 automotive manufacturing business and the Supply Chain Manager of another $14 million Tier 1 auto supplier. He was project manager for construction and the opening of a green field manufacturing facility in North Carolina.
Lew works directly with our clients to develop practical solutions for their specific requirements. He performs a detailed diagnostic review of operations and compares productivity and performance indicators with our client's strategic plan, goals and objective. Assisting to identify potential opportunities for improvement and cost reduction to improve profitability and to gain a competitive advantage within the industry. Utilizing a hands on approach, he works closely with our clients to identify opportunities to reduce costs across the entire enterprise including supply chain management, raw material sourcing, manufacturing operations, distribution and logistics.
He will accomplish this by helping you increase your throughput, reduce your inventories, reduce your operating costs and improve your quality of workmanship through the implementations of current process improvement tools and techniques such as:

Lew is a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society, the Association for Manufacturing Technology, American Productivity & Quality Center, and the Canadian Solutions for Advanced Manufacturing. He is also a volunteer with the Romeo Downtown Development Authority and the Romeo Youth Football Association. |
