Lewis A. Schwartz is vice president principal accounting officer of Harris Corporation. He is responsible for SEC reporting, corporate consolidations, corporate-wide planning, corporate accounting and budgeting, external audit relationship, corporate-wide GAAP, acquisition due diligence, and various other corporate finance and accounting initiatives.
Mr. Schwartz joined Harris in 1992 as senior manager of Financial Planning and External Reporting, and held various positions of increasing responsibility at Corporate Headquarters, the Government Communications Systems Division, and GE-Harris Railway Electronics, LLC joint venture. He was promoted to principal accounting officer in 2005. In 2006 he was named vice president principal accounting officer. Prior to joining Harris, Mr. Schwartz was with Ernst & Young LLP from 1986 to 1992.
He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Stetson University. He was certified in public accountancy in 1987 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. |
