Lew Schwartz joined Gartner in 2001 as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. He leads the Gartner law and compliance group, serving as chief compliance officer and chief governance officer.
Prior to joining Gartner, Schwartz was a partner with Shipman & Goodwin in the litigation and employment law departments, chairing the firm's employment litigation practice group. Before joining Shipman & Goodwin, Schwartz was a litigation partner in the Stamford office of Schatz & Schatz, Ribicoff & Kotkin; an associate in the New York City office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom; and an assistant district attorney in New York County (Manhattan).
Schwartz earned a bachelor's degree at Yale University and holds a law degree from Cornell Law School. |
