AREAS OF PRACTICE Corporate Transactions Real Estate Lew brings a vast wealth of experience to the areas of Real Estate Law and Commercial Transactions, in addition to General Litigation Counseling. Since his admission into the State Bar of Texas in 1959, Lew has participated in all facets of the commercial and residential real estate transactions process and related litigation, including development, sales, leasing, financing, and syndication transactions on both a national and international stage. He has represented title companies and their clients in various suits and appeals, including general oil and gas and contract litigation. REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE Former Director of the Board of Directors and General Counsel of Randall's Food Markets, Inc. for 25 years. Represented Randall's Food Markets, Inc., Randall's Food & Drugs, Inc., and Randall's Properties, Inc. in sales, acquisitions and development of commercial properties in Greater Houston, Dallas-Ft. Worth, and Austin during past 25 years, including general corporate matters and financing. Participated in the acquisition of oil and gas licenses in New Zealand and the formation of a public company to explore for oil and gas in New Zealand and the Tonga Islands (South Pacific), involving companies such as Royal Dutch Shell, Gulf Oil Co., French Acquitaine, British Petroleum, and Ampol, Ltd. (Australia). Prior to joining Looper Reed, Mark & McGraw (predecessor of Looper Reed & McGraw), in November 1990, senior partner of Harpold, Mueller & Crofford, P.C., the successor to Hofheinz & Harpold, and Hofheinz, James & Harpold, a firm founded in 1962. Represented Sellers, Purchasers, and developers in residential and commercial developments, loan transactions, leasing, 1031 transactions, and related matters.
