Levi Thompson, Ph.D. is Chief Technology Officer. He is an expert in the design, synthesis and characterization of catalytic and electronic materials with 15 years of industry-leading research. Dr. Thompson is currently Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education for the College of Engineering. He is considered an expert on early transition metal nitrides and carbides, fuel processing catalysts, sol-gel derived materials and nanostructured films. Dr. Thompson earned both a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan. He received a Bachelor?s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. At the national level, he has regularly chaired sessions or symposia at national meetings of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Materials Research Society. He has served as President, Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer of the Michigan Catalysis Society. Dr. Thompson has authored or co-authored more than 75 publications including an invited contribution on batteries for the World Book Encyclopedia. |
