Professional Summary
Born in New York City, Mr. Steinman has extensive experience in all aspects of Municipal Law. Mr. Steinman acted as Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York from 1974-1977. He then went on to work for the Westchester County Department of Law as an attorney (1977-1984) and as Assistant Chief Deputy Attorney (1982-1984). In addition to representing clients, Mr. Steinman has served as Editor of the Municipal Lawyer since 1984, and authored the article, The Effect of Land Use Restrictions on The Establishment of Community Residences for the Disabled; A National Study, (19 The Urban Lawyer, 1987). Finally, Mr. Steinman is the Director of the Edwin G. Michaelian Municipal Law Resource Center and has also served as Adjunct Professor of Local Government Law and Finance at Pace University.
