As True Value Company’s chief information officer, Weber is responsible for the co-op’s retail and enterprise systems, including distribution systems, inventory management and replenishment systems and the Internet-based programs that manage vendor relations and custom catalogs.
Weber, who joined True Value Company in 2003, has nearly 23 years of information technology experience. Before joining True Value Company, Weber was the chief information officer for Wheels, Inc., a fleet management and leasing company in Des Plaines, Ill. At Wheels, she was responsible for applications development, computer operations and technical and telephony services supporting $1 billion in Internet sales. From 1998 to 2001, Weber was chief information officer for Quill Corporation, a division of Staples, Inc., where she completed a rollout of a warehouse management package across nine distribution centers in 18 months and implemented a data warehouse system for marketing and financial analysis.
Weber began working for Fel-Pro, Inc., an international market leader in the automotive aftermarket, in 1986. She served as the company’s director of information services from 1995 to 1998 and principal information officer. While there she reduced departmental costs by eliminating unnecessary functions, renegotiated service and telecommunications contracts and replaced hardware and employed new technology. She has also held information services positions with The Square D Company and Bell & Howell Corporation.
Weber holds a bachelor's degree from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University. |
