Leslie Y. Flores-Rodriguez is an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group.
Practice and Experience
Ms. Flores-Rodriguez's practice includes general civil and commercial litigation, concentrating on constitutional, jurisdictional and contractual disputes. She is a member of the firm's Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Area. Her first commercial arbitration ended with a favorable award for the firm's client. Ms. Flores-Rodriguez represents the Puerto Rico Olympic Trust on a pro bono basis.
Education
She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communication, summa cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico. Ms. Flores-Rodriguez was awarded the Rosa Axtmayer scholarship while completing her undergraduate studies.
Her published article "Soberania o soberano engano: La libre asociacion como alternativa descolonizadora" was the winner of the first prize at the Nilita Vientos Gaston judicial writing competition sponsored by the University of Puerto Rico Law Review. Ms. Flores-Rodriguez also assisted in editing the books: "La negociacion y la mediacion" and "Las clausulas modificativas de la responsabilidad extracontractual", both by Luis Muniz Arguelles.
Admissions
Ms. Flores-Rodriguez is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
