Lesa R. McIntosh was appointed by the Board of Directors in February of 1999 to fill the unexpired term of Director John Gioia. She was elected in 2000 and re-elected in 2004 to represent Ward 1, which includes the Contra Costa County cities of Crockett, Hercules, Rodeo, San Pablo, Richmond, and a portion of Pinole. McIntosh became Vice-President of the Board in 2005, was re-elected as Vice-President of the Board for 2006, and elected as President of the Board for 2007.
A West County activist, she was elected to the Richmond City Council in 1995 and served until February of 1999 when she was appointed to the EBMUD Board of Directors. McIntosh has served on numerous boards and commissions including Commissioner of the Port of Richmond, Chair of the Richmond City Council Public Safety Committee, Board member of the Contra Costa County Legal Services Foundation, an instructor in legal evidence at Contra Costa College and as a Police Commissioner.
McIntosh earned a BS degree in Political Science at the University of California at Berkeley and holds a law degree from John F. Kennedy University. Her law practice is in Richmond specializing in business, land use, and estate planning. McIntosh resides in Richmond. |
