Background: Prior to attending college, Les worked in the low-voltage wiring industry, installing and servicing security systems as well as cable television, phone, music, and network setups. He moved into sales with the low-voltage company and also spent some time in the insurance sales business, representing various health and life insurance agencies. During college, he worked as an assistant to the director of the business computer lab and taught entry-level computer classes. He put his computer knowledge to work for SAFT America in the IT department, performing various programming and processing duties. After graduating from Valdosta State University in 1993 with a BS in Computer Science, Les began working full time at Goldleaf Technologies as a program developer. Since then, he has held various positions within the company, moving from developer to senior developer and then transitioning into a product services and product management role. These positions and experience led to his current position as Vice President, Product Services. In 1995, Les received the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification and has participated in various rules and issue workgroups related to electronic banking issues. |
