Len serves as Chairman of Fox-Pitt Kelton Cochran Caronia Waller. In addition to his management responsibilities, Len assists corporate clients with capital-raising, acquisitions, divestitures and strategic corporate combinations. Len was co-founder of Cochran Caronia Waller, an investment bank focused on the insurance industry. Cochran Caronia Waller was the leading mergers & acquisitions firm in insurance and very active in public equity capital markets transactions. Cochran Caronia Waller was merged into Fox-Pitt Kelton in 2007. Previous to his Cochran Caronia Waller experience, Len spent 13 years at First Chicago Corporation, where he was a Corporate Senior Vice President and head of investment banking. Subsequently, he established the investment banking practice at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP, and served as Managing Director of Coopers & Lybrand Securities, LLC. He co-authored the book Leveraged Buy-Outs, and has written numerous articles on corporate finance issues. He received his master's degree in business administration and Bachelor of Science degree in finance with high honors from the University of Illinois. Len was awarded the CFA designation in 1981. |
