Leon Friedberg

Mr. Friedberg is a member of the Ohio and Florida Bars, with his practice emphasis in bankruptcy and insolvency law, civil litigation and arbitrations, commercial law, real estate law and closely held business counsel. Mr. Friedberg has been selected for listing in "Who's Who in American Law", 10th ed., 7th ed., and is listed as an AV lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell.
Prior to joining Carlile Patchen & Murphy, Mr. Friedberg was a partner in a large, regional law firm and a solo practitioner, with representations for creditors' committee counsel in Chapter 11 cases such as the $3.8 billion National Century Financial Enterprises, Inc., the $2.4 billion Cardinal Industries, Inc., Rax Restaurants, Inc., PoFolks, Inc. and JKMO Company, Inc. (Mark Pi Restaurants), debtor's counsel in cases such as Madison's, Inc., Youthland, Inc., and numerous creditors in both complex and simple commercial and consumer bankruptcy matters. He is a frequent lecturer and author on topics ranging from Real Estate Liens, Bad Faith in Bankruptcy, the Commercial Eviction Action, Bankruptcy and the Real Estate Lease, Distressed Real Estate in Bankruptcy, Purchase of Real Estate in Bankruptcy, and Environmental Law Liability in Ohio's "Prompt-Pay"; Law, Mechanics Liens, Construction Contracts, and Ohio's notaries public laws.
