Leo J. Pircher is a founding member of Pircher, Nichols & Meeks and is a partner in the firm’s real estate department. Mr. Pircher specializes in commercial real estate joint ventures, development as well as acquisitions and dispositions. He is one of the pioneers responsible for establishing the framework for today’s legal and tax techniques used by the real estate industry since the 1970s for the acquisition and financing of large real estate properties.
Over the years, he has been involved in major real estate transactions throughout the country, including the acquisition and/or financing of Playa Vista (DreamWorks); several office buildings in Century City, Calif; Wells Fargo Center; several large office buildings in downtown Los Angeles; Shutters Hotel in Santa Monica; Houston Center in downtown Houston; several large office buildings in New York City; the Watertower, the Four Seasons and the Ritz Carlton Hotels in Chicago as well as numerous other office buildings and regional malls throughout the United States.
His clients include: Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund, CS First Boston Corporation, Goldman Sachs & Co., Whitehall Street Real Estate Fund, JMB Realty Corporation and its related entities, Varco International, Inc., Playa Capital, LLC and its related entities (Playa Vista), ING, City of Los Angeles and Stanford Ranch.
Mr. Pircher is a member of the Los Angeles County, California and New York State and American Bar Associations.
