As a Client Executive at James Lee Witt Associates (JLWA) fourteen state Western Regional Office, Ms. Dease's responsibilities include project management, planning, business development, marketing, strategic counsel and client services.
Ms. Dease has served as the project manager and planner for the completion of a Local All-Hazard Mitigation Plan and is currently completing a joint County All-Hazards Food and Agriculture Response plan; and a Pandemic Influenza Business Continuity plan for a leading pharmaceutical corporation. Ms. Dease has also worked with the California State University (CSU) Risk Management Office to create a system-wide (23 individual campuses, Office of the Chancellor and six off-campus centers) emergency operations plan. She works closely with Federal, State and local governments, schools and universities and private corporations in the areas of emergency management, advisory and analytical services.
Prior to joining JLWA, Ms. Dease worked in the Public Affairs and Executive Offices of the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (OES) and was the marketing representative for the agency. As the marketing representative, she hosted and spoke to International and Domestic groups in the public and private sector interested in the California Emergency Management system. Ms. Dease coordinated and organized a ceremonial signing event between the State of California and the Taiwanese Government for sharing/exchanging Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) resources and personnel. The event was attended by high level delegates from both State and local governments as well as from the private corporate sector and Asian community.
While at OES, Ms. Dease was appointed by the Director, Dallas Jones, to sit as the agency representative on former California First Lady Sharon Davis' school emergency preparedness campaign-FLASH: A California Partnership for Safety and Preparedness. The campaign is an alliance of public and private partnerships dedicated to integrating safety and preparedness in California through school curriculum that teaches emergency preparedness skills to grades K-12. While on the campaign, she participated in the meeting and press events and spoke on behalf of OES in terms of curriculum development and solicited support from businesses and corporations.
She received her B. S. with honors from the University of Phoenix Online Campus in Marketing. |
