Lena Mandel is a senior attorney in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and a member of the Financial Restructuring Department.
Ms. Mandel has represented distressed companies, individual creditors, creditors' committees, pre- and post-petition lenders, and acquirers of claims and assets in both in- and out-of-court restructurings, many of which had significant cross border components. She has represented major Russian banks and other Russian companies in their capacities as creditors of US debtors.
Ms. Mandel spent a year in the Moscow office of Freshfields, working on capital market and oil companies privatization deals. Ms. Mandel is an author of numerous professional publications, including the chapter on Russian secured transactions and insolvency laws in Collier's International Business Insolvency Guide.
Ms. Mandel received her B.A. from Teachers' College in Moscow, USSR, and her J.D. from Rutgers University. She is a native Russian speaker. |
