Ms. Amanti concentrates her practice in tax controversy matters before the IRS, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and federal district courts. In her practice, Ms. Amanti represents large financial institutions, multinational corporations, and individuals at various stages of federal income tax controversy, including audit, administrative appeals, and judicial proceedings. Most recently, Ms. Amanti appeared before a federal district court in a 45-day trial, Fidelity International Currency Advisor A Fund, L.L.C. v. United States, Nos. 05-40151 & 06-40130 (D. Mass.) and Fidelity High Tech Advisor A Fund, L.L.C. v. United States, Nos. 06-40243 & 06-40244 (D. Mass.).
Ms. Amanti regularly provides pro bono representation to low income taxpayers, successfully settling matters before the U.S. Tax Court and the IRS.
Ms. Amanti was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and served as articles editor and associate editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. |
