Len Parker is vice president and head of the Xerox Engineering Center, Xerox Intellectual Property Operations, and the company's DocuShare software business; all within the Business Group Operations. He was named to this position January 2006.
As head of the Xerox Engineering Center, Parker is responsible for Xerox's platform planning and product delivery effectiveness, providing the tools, processes and engineering competencies to ensure the continued development of the industry's leading global products and solutions.
Since joining Xerox in 1980, Parker helped Xerox commercialize laser printing and drove early network and laser printing innovations working with the noted Palo Alto Research Center. Until this recent appointment, Parker has spent his 25 years at Xerox in the Los Angeles area and in Palo Alto. He has held leadership positions the Xerox imaging and scanning center, in corporate quality and product assurance, print-controller development, and program management in the desktop printing unit. Most recently, Parker was vice president and chief technology officer of the Production Systems Group.
Prior to that he was vice president and general manager of the SOHO inkjet multifunction business unit in Palo Alto and vice president and general manager of Xerox Office Solutions and Software Business Unit and chief technology officer of the Xerox Global Services Group.
Parker earned a bachelor and master's degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in imaging science and printing technology, respectively. He also holds solid-state laser patents in conjunction with the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center. |
