Lee Briggs was first elected to the Golden West Board of Directors in September of 1996 and currently serves as president of Golden West Cablevision. Lee and his wife Mary have owned and operated the Mahler Ranch in northern Haakon County for the last 26 years. Lee graduated from Eagle Butte High School and served four years in the Marine Corps, including a tour of duty in Viet Nam. He graduated from South Dakota State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science Business. Lee worked for Farm Credit of Omaha in Mobridge for a short time and has been ranching ever since. The Briggs have two grown daughters, Rea and Keva, and five grandchildren. |
