Lee’s experience offers ample evidence of his ability to orchestrate successful, complex campaigns. During one of his most recent projects, Lee directed a successful $58 million initiative for Jacksonville University, the largest in the school’s history. As Director of Development for Milliken University in Decatur, Illinois, Lee was successful in helping the university raise the most money for a single year in its history. That accomplishment was echoed in his work at Louisiana State University where, under his innovative direction, the university raised a record amount in its annual fund campaign. Knowledgeable of all functions of an Advancement Office, Lee has proven to be a change agent for building and revamping Advancement Office operations (Annual Fund, Major and Planned Gifts, Research, Electronic Screening, Board relationships, and Alumni Affairs) to achieve maximum potential and optimize success.
In several instances, Lee has been directly involved with economic development initiatives. His involvement in such projects actually began at the very beginning of his career when he was primary legislative aide for the Chairman of the Commerce Committee of the Louisiana Senate. With that first-hand experience in the development of state-wide economic development projects, Lee was well-prepared for his later work in support of the efforts of various Chambers of Commerce to design and fund business development projects. It is an area with which he is extremely familiar.
Lee’s success is not confined to these areas, however. The list of his successful campaigns includes clients that range from hospitals to religious and human service organizations. Well-experienced with every phase of campaign design and implementation, Lee has directed numerous feasibility studies, Board development projects, volunteer training efforts, and donor cultivation initiatives.
