Lee is a partner in the litigation department and is chair of the financial services litigation practice group. He has nearly twenty years of experience representing financial institutions and real estate developers in state, federal and bankruptcy court.
Representative Matters
Represented financial institution in construction contractor workout, successfully collecting several million dollars in disputed claims.
Represented airplane manufacturer in chapter 11 case of local airline.
Representation of creditors in federal and state trial and appellate courts in connection with successor liability and other creditors rights issues.
Representation of buyers in connection with asset purchases under section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.
Representation of lenders in connection with post-petition financings.
Representation of landlords in bankruptcy lease assumptions and rejections.
Preference and other lender liability defense.
Litigated certain public records issues in connection with land use dispute. See McCormick v. Hanson, 164 N.C. App. 459, 596 S.E.2d 431, disc rev denied, 359 N.C. 69, 603 S.E.2d 131 (2004).
