Leanne O’Brien is lead trial technology consultant in the firm’s Client Technology Services department. Leanne consults with attorneys in all Faegre & Benson U.S. offices, and across all practice areas, to assist in preparation for any type of litigation-related event, whether it be a two-hour summary judgment hearing, three-day arbitration or multiple-week jury trial. In addition to providing in-court presentation services for the duration of the event and helping attorneys develop effective presentation aids tailored to their personal style of oral advocacy, Leanne serves as site coordinator for trials across the country. She identifies options for office, housing or hotel accommodations; negotiates leases and contracts; and plans and implements the necessary technology infrastructure, furnishings, equipment and other site-specific amenities. She also assists in ongoing training programs for associate attorneys in regard to demonstrative evidence and the use of technology in the courtroom. In these roles, Leanne maintains longstanding relationships with outside jury consultants, trial consultants and electronic equipment rental companies, and she works side-by-side with the firm’s in-house graphic designers. Leanne has more than 15 years of combined experience as a complex litigation specialist and remote site coordinator which includes work on the Exxon Valdez oil spill litigation, the Minnesota tobacco trial, the Wyeth pharmaceutical trial and other complex litigation matters in both large cities and small rural communities throughout the United States. Leanne has also coordinated the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s mock trial program. |
